DiamondFaces®, the microcrystalline diamond coating from EagleBurgmann, raises the reliability and performance of your mechanical seals several times over.

EagleBurgmann’s newly developed double Cartex® GSDN gas seal is the ideal solution for centrifugal pump applications at chemical plants and refineries. Users can install bi-directional gas-lubricated Cartex® GSDN seals to standardize their new pumps or to recondition existing pumps which have conventional stuffing box packings or liquid-lubricated mechanical seals.

The APItex® series developed by EagleBurgmann includes single and double pusher type seals in cartridge design which are fully compliant with API 682 Category 1 Type A. These robust, reliable seals are designed to withstand process fluctuations and shaft deflection. The shrink-fitted seal faces and the floating seat mounting ensure dependable operation.

EagleBurgmann has established the high performance SHF mechanical seal for use in multi-stage high-pressure boiler feed pumps in power stations.
This successful mechanical seal is notable for a low rate of wear, minimal leakage and high availability, even at high peripheral speeds. It is extremely long lasting even in peak load power stations with frequently fluctuating loads. Years of experience in the design and practical use of a multitude of high-pressure feed pumps come out in this mechanical seal.

The reliability of gas seals depends on an adequate flow of clean dry gas at the seal. Gas supply systems take product gas from a higher-pressure stage of the compressor, filter the gas and use it to flush the seal. When the compressor is not running, the flow is interrupted and there is no source of high-pressure gas to protect the seal from contaminated product gas. This can pose a serious risk, because deposits at the seal can cause leakage or even damage the seal. In order to alleviate this problem, piston compressors/boosters driven by compressed air have been deployed in recent years to suck in filtered gas from the compressor, increase the pressure and use the gas to flush the seal.

L9UC Seals are low temperature pusher seals with rotating flexible elements consisting of multiple springs. They have "O" rings for secondary sealing and other metallurgy in full compliance with API 682 requirements.
L9SA seals are low temperature metal bellow seals with rotating flexible element. They have elastomers for secondary sealing and other metallurgy in full compliance with API682 requirements.

The EagleBurgmann YE400 seal, used especially in refineries and for heat transfer media, is specifically designed for the most demanding of high and low temperature services as well as for high-speed applications.
The stationery configuration, in which the flexible bellows element is fixed into the equipment casing, eliminates damaging “swashing” motion due to casing distortion or shaft vibration and promotes more positive sealing while significantly extending seal life.

The EagleBurgmann NF992 is a pump seal development of the highly successful, and technically advanced, NF900 dry gas seal installed in many hundreds of turbo compressors and blowers.
Process and chemical pumps in hazardous application conventionally use liquid lubricated, double or tandem seal arrangements to prevent liquid leakage or hazardous emissions. These seal configurations are subject to rapid failure and leakage to atmosphere when liquid pressure, or circulation, is lost.

The EagleBurgmann type Y16 / Y19 seals are an all-metal, narrow section, edge welded seals for extreme high temperature applications especially in refineries or industrial heat transfer media.
The seals incorporate a state-of-the-art bellows design proven in numerous applications around the world. The benefits of edge welded metal bellow seals for high temperature applications are:

The manufacturing of chemical and pharmaceutical products puts considerable strain on the sealing technology utilized. Optimum quality, a worldwide service network and decades of experience in application engineering make EagleBurgmann a leading manufacturer of sealing systems in these industries.

In addition to meeting stringent technical requirements, a seal has to adhere to many other regulations in connection with cleanliness, health and government legislation. EagleBurgmann mechanical seals have been used successfully worldwide in sterile processes for over 20 years.

The cutter heads on quarrying and mining machining are fed with water, not only for cooling purposes but also for settling the dust and extinguishing any sparks produced by the cutting tools. EagleBurgmann mechanical seals perform the dual function of rotary joint and seal for the cutter and roller heads.

EagleBurgmann sealing systems feature maximum operational reliability, convenient maintenance and low leakage rates with necessary environmental protective measures.

EagleBurgmann sealing systems feature maximum operational reliability, convenient maintenance and low leakage rates with necessary environmental protective measures.

Modern sealing technology makes a major contribution to optimized production processes and its further development. A large number of major international suppliers of machinery to the paper industry trust in EagleBurgmann seals.

With automations in marine applications and the protection of our seas, sealing technology is becoming increasingly important. EagleBurgmann seals meet these high economical and ecological demands and have been certified and authorized by many shipping institutions.

The building industry makes intensive use of submersible pumps because of their mobility. Thanks to their liquid-tight and pressure-proof design they are equally popular in waste water systems. EagleBurgmann elastomer bellows seals are a reliable and proven shaft seal solution for submersible motors in pumps, aerators, agitators, etc.
